Our Story
When I was in middle school, I fell in love with Golden Retrievers. After years of convincing, I finally got my first golden, Arial. I never knew how great the breed was until I had my own. Arial proved everything everyone had ever told me about what great Golden’s are to be true. Shortly after getting Arial, I began working at a vet clinic that does canine reproduction, I learned about responsible breeding, and how much I wanted to produce healthy dogs with amazing temperaments to help better this great breed. When Arial was ten months, I got Lilly and fell even more in love with the breed!
I met my now husband back in 2015 and Arial and Lilly decided they approved! We got married and had our first litter of puppies with Arial. We fell in love with raising her litter, and decided this was something we wanted to do more seriously. I began researching everything that I could to help us raise amazing dogs that could go in any direction. (Service and therapy work, hunting, agility, or just a great family pet). We began to expand our breeding program to what it has become today.
My husband and I wait until our dogs are 2 and have had all of their health clearances before breeding. We do OFA testing on their Hips, Elbows, Eyes, and Heart. We also do genetic disease testing for Ichthyosis, DM, PRA-1, PRA-2, and PRCD, and most recently the new test that just came out for Golden’s NCL. All of our dogs are indoor and are a part of our family. They come to family dinners with us, go horseback riding with us, camping, fishing, boating, hiking, day trips to the lake, and their favorite of all is car rides to go get mini vanilla ice cream cones, they love the drive through! Our puppies are also raised in our house and get a ton of exposure. Recently we have started raising our puppies with the Puppy Culture method. This helps to prepare them to be amazing dogs that are prepared to face what the world has to offer!
