At Soaring Golden’s, we believe early training creates lifelong habits. Our expert trainers work closely with your puppy beginning after their vital first 8 weeks with their mother, ensuring they develop confidence, manners, and strong foundational skills.

Our head trainer is Madi. She will be your point of contact during your training experience here with soaring goldens.

Madi brings a wealth of experience and expertise to your dogs training, especially with her background in service work and her specialization in scent-based tasks due to her own experience with type 1 diabetes.

Trainer Profile: Madi Stocking

Experience:

Type 1 Diabetes: Living with this condition has informed her understanding of service dog training, and actively handling a service dog.
Service Dog Ownership: 12 years of experience with her own service dog.
Involvement in Service World: Over 12 years, participating in various aspects of dog training.
Active Service Dog Trainer: 4 years of hands-on experience in training various levels of obedience and public access, utilizing her personal insights and skills.

Specialization:

Focuses on scent-based service work to assist individuals with medical conditions.
Focus’s on a solid foundation from a young age. We believe foundations begin 3 days post whelp.

Training Philosophy:

Believes in the importance of solid foundational training as a key determinant for a dog’s long-term success.
Enjoys working alongside us at Soaring Goldens and values the collaborative aspect of training together, particularly through programs like "puppy Foundations" that emphasize foundational skills.

Training Programs:

☐ Puppy Foundations
Introduction to essential skills including potty training, crate training, sit, down, place, leash manners, and confidence building.

☐ Puppy Obedience
Focus on advancing leash manners into a formal heel (on- and off-leash). Training includes sit, down, stay, stand (if needed), and practicing distance, duration, and distraction. Dogs will also learn quick turns and weaving through obstacles while maintaining a heel.

☐ Breeder / Competition Program
A customized program designed to support approved breeding programs (with prior approval from Kamri or Madi). Training is tailored to meet the unique goals and needs of your breeding program.

☐ Adult Foundations
Basic obedience and manners, including sit, down, leash manners, solid place command, no jumping, no biting, and confidence building.

☐ Adult Obedience
Advanced obedience progression. Transition from leash manners to formal heel (on- and off-leash). Training includes sit, down, stay, stand (if needed), distance, duration, distraction, quick turns, and weaving through obstacles while heeling.

☐ Beginner Service Dog
Introduction to foundational service dog skills and behaviors, customized to prepare dogs for future specialized training.

☐ Custom Program
Training plan tailored to specific needs, as discussed and approved with Kamri or Madi.

For our puppy families who choose to participate will have their puppy stay with us and our expert trainers following their vital first 8 weeks with their mother. Here are some basic questions to assist you with your needs.
