Annie is one of those Golden Retrievers whose greatest strength isn't measured by how many titles follow her name. While she has earned titles across a variety of activities, her true love has always been simply being with her person.
Sweet, affectionate, and deeply people-oriented, Annie thrives on connection. Of all the activities we have explored with her, therapy work is where she truly shines. She has a special love for children and genuinely enjoys the quiet, personal interaction that comes with spending time with people.
We could have pursued more performance titles with Annie, but part of knowing our dogs is recognizing what they genuinely enjoy. For Annie, that isn't chasing the next ribbon—it is being beside her handler and bringing happiness to the people around her.

Why Annie?
Preserving the Golden Retriever means preserving temperament, too.
The breed should be more than athletic and beautiful. Golden Retrievers are known for their affectionate nature, biddability, connection with people, and remarkable ability to succeed in many different roles.
Those qualities are where Annie excels.
Her accomplishments in temperament and versatility give us useful information, but living with Annie tells us even more. She is exceptionally sweet, people-focused, eager to be with her handler, and particularly drawn to children.
When we consider Annie in our breeding program, we look at the complete dog: her health, pedigree, structure, temperament, strengths, weaknesses, maternal qualities, and what we have learned from the offspring she has produced.
Our goal isn't to make every Soaring Goldens dog the same. It is to preserve the qualities that make the Golden Retriever such an extraordinary and versatile breed while thoughtfully building on the strengths of each generation.
